The Year of Young People 2018 in Scotland offers a unique opportunity to put young people at the heart of discussions on issues which affect their lives. So we’re delighted to announce that Common Purpose and Scottish Enterprise are inviting 18-24 year olds from across Scotland to use their skills and ideas to have their say on the future of Scotland’s economy.
We’re bringing together 100 young leaders to develop ideas in response to a real-life economic development challenge, set by the Chairman of Scottish Enterprise. Working in groups with a mentor from Scottish Enterprise, participants will hear the perspectives of a range of leaders from across Scotland, develop viable ideas, and present them to a panel of senior leaders with the power to make the idea happen.
The programme not only gives young people a say on the economy, but also aims to equip participants with the tools they need to lead change, now and in the future. The day will give participants a real and practical experience, enabling them to broaden their horizons and to develop the skills they need to adapt and succeed.
